Valentine's, baggage, and "The Executioner"

The Christian Post recently interviewed me about some past difficulties Missy and I experienced in our marriage and how God restored our relationship to be what it is today - strong and healthy. The story appeared on the homepage of the outlet's website on Valentine's Day. You can view it by clicking on the image below:

The Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries team just came home from North Carolina where we did a pre-event for a meeting that will take place later this summer. I preached in three of the seven churches, which will be participating in the summer event. Sunday night we had such a packed house at one of the churches that about a dozen people had to stand because there were no seats left. God definitely worked in amazing ways! I was especially encouraged by a phone call one of our team members received the next morning during which a minister who attended the Sunday service said that his phone had not stopped ringing with calls from church members. They had contacted him to share how they had called their friends and family to share the Gospel with them for the very first time. It was so exciting to hear about people who had ACTED on their faith and left their comfort zone to reach unbelievers. We long to see eternal results and I left North Carolina encouraged that this took place.

I will be doing a church event in Houston and an Evangelism conference for the entire state of Missouri. Please pray for me as I speak to multitudes of leaders and pastors over these next few days. I will be preaching a brand new sermon titled the "EXECUTIONER". It is based on the story of the Roman soldier who crucified Christ and then accepted Him. I dont remember the last time I have been so excited about a sermon. It ties in the story of my grandfather who was a soldier in World War II and the huge transformation that takes place when the hardest of men meet Jesus. Its raw, brutal, edgy, bloody and yet intimate. I feel a stirring in my heart even now as I write about it!!!!

Don't forget our weekly video devotional called "THE HEAT". We shot this week's segment from the airport and its called "Letting Go of the BAGGAGE". You can visit our YouTube channel to view it (www.youtube.com/jaylowder) and if you have not already done so, you can register to receive future"THE HEAT" video devotionals by visiting our website & clicking on "get email updates". Since you are already a subscriber to Harvest Link, you will be directed to re-enter your email, which will then allow an email to be sent to you to change your profile preferences. At that time, you can choose the option to have "THE HEAT" sent to you.

We love and appreciate you and need your prayers more than ever.

Preaching For Change- NOT For Cheers
