Faith like a child

I just got home from a Spring Break vacation with my family in Ruidoso, N.M. After a full week of traveling with the ministry team, it was great to relax, ride horses in the mountains, go tubing on ice and slide down the White Sands State Park. There is nothing like being with family!!! One of the highlights of the week was my youngest son [7-year-old Graham] carrying his picture Bible out to the scenic overlook where I was "getting alone" for a quiet time to join me for prayer and Bible study. His blatant trust in God and fascination with God doing miracles through Moses challenged and convicted me. I wonder how we, as adults, can so easily misplace that childlike trust. He joined me on two different mornings!

As I mentioned, the week before our getaway, I had the privilege of sharing God's Word 10 times in four days. It started in Missouri where I preached a state Evangelism conference. The following day I was in a church where we had 10 people between the ages of 40 and 60 come forward to accept Christ. One man came up to me afterward and said that he had always thought he was a true Christian. He went on to explain that during the service God showed him that he had never been truly saved even though he had been a church member for 16 years. He had been trusting in his good works and reorganized life. You should have seen the joy oozing from his eyes and his countenance as he explained that his faith was now solid and secure. In another city in Missouri, we had over 70 students make commitments to Jesus. It was such a spiritual rush! There is nothing in the world I would rather be doing. I consider myself and our team very blessed to be able to follow the call upon our life. We know it wouldn't be possible if not for the support of many of you!

Following our time in Missouri, I traveled to Charlotte, N.C., to preach at Bailey Smith's "Real Evangelism Conference." It was a great honor. Having attended one of his conferences years ago in Dallas, I never thought I would one day be invited to preach at one myself. It was mostly a crowd of preachers and laymen who were there to get their batteries recharged. I was astounded when the worship leader came up after me and said that he knew there were many leaders who needed to get their life right with God. The altar was flooded with preachers and leaders sobbing before the Lord. One crying preacher tackled me with both arms and was as broken as anyone I've ever seen. He literally wouldn't let me go and put his head on my chest. He said that he had been unjustly fired from his church, and he had allowed it to get in the way of his love and dedication to Christ. He said bitterness had crept in, and he wanted God to restore him. It was an experience I will NEVER forget and an anointing I haven't felt in some time.

In addition to taking God's Word to various cities, we've added a new podcast feature to help spread HIs message even further. It is available through iTunes and you can subscribe to it by visiting the "resources" tab of our website. There are currently three sermons available and we will be adding more in the near future!

We are blessed that God continues to grow our ministry staff. Our full-time staff is now at five and we have two others who work contractually with us. We covet your prayers because the work of reaching non-believers brings out Satan's full attack! It seems that he burns with hatred toward us and anyone who is helping non-believers to meet Jesus. The attacks upon us and our families are relentless. Would you consider putting us on your prayer lists for at least one day a week? We thank you in advance and will also be praying for you.
